In order to strengthen cooperation on September 16, a working group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan arrived in the Republic of Tajikistan under the leadership of First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Colonel Tashpulatov Aziz Anvarovich.
The delegation of guests at the “Dusti” checkpoint in Tursunzade city was met by the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Lieutenant General of Militia Alamshozoda Abdurahmon Alamsho, as well as the heads of the relevant units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The meeting will be attended by the heads of the Main Directorate of Criminal Investigation, the first deputy head of the Main Directorate for Combating Terrorism and Extremism, the deputy head of the Directorate for Combating Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Substances, the head of the operative-search activity of the Main Directorate of Criminal Investigation and the head of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Tajik side will be represented by the Criminal Investigation Directorate, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Organized Crime Unit, the International Cooperation Directorate and the Passport Registration Service.
The meeting is dedicated to the current state and future prospects of the parties ’divisions in exchanging information in the fight against terrorism, extremism and illegal migration, cooperation between the ministries of internal affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Tajikistan in the fight against common crime and search activities.
Also, the state of interaction of the parties ’units in the fight against illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors, ways to improve it, and summarizing, determining the date and place of the next meeting of the Tajik-Uzbek interdepartmental Coordination Working Group.
After the meeting, the delegation plans to visit Khatlon and Sogd regions.
